There are various types of multiplayer online games for the x-box 360, in order to play multiplayer online games players are required to subscribe to the x-box live service.  The chosen game is really dependent on the player and what type of genre of game they are interested in.  There are virtual matches and war games that require skill in order to achieve the object of the game.  Alternatively, why not choose from one of the thriller and espionage games where tactical skill is required.

Probably the best selling and most popular game to purchase for the x-box 360 is Halo: Combat Evolved and its sequel Halo 2.  It’s reported that up to October 2006, 4 billion people worldwide had played Halo 2 which is a true testament as to how great the game is.  The game is set at the end of Halo: Combat Evolved and is an all action shooting game that is directed by the story.  Although the game features truly great action scenes, the game is also complemented by its use of the storyline.  Players that are familiar with Halo will already know that the Covenant is to be feared and as the first scenes are set in a medal ceremony, the covenant begin to attack Earth.  The game contains many vehicles and if players are familiar with the first Halo, they will recognize the vehicles and be pleased to know that there are various new additions to this category.  The new game also features over 14 various human and alien weapons.  The weapons enable the player to perform various tasks and each different weapon comes with a different functionality.  This forces the player to consider the weapon of choice seriously as there are several advantages and disadvantages to alien and human weapons.

If it’s a true fighting game that players are looking for, Street Fighter Anniversary collection has to be game that should be in anyone’s game collection.  The game is a collection of the Street Fighter series and features Hyper Street Fighter II: The Anniversary Edition and a port of Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike.  The object of the game is to fight against opponents globally and using the selected characters chosen moves can enable the player to win each bout.  Online play enables the player to find an opponent with the same skill set thus pitting players together evenly.  SF III is the third version of the original SF and has come a long way since its design.  It features lots of new characters and a whole host of new techniques and moves for these characters. 

Another popular game is Dead or Alive Ultimate 1 and Dead or Alive Ultimate 2 which features a combination of both the Dead or Alive and Dead or Alive 2 games.
